Producer/Songwriter/Recording artist Andrew Karnavas is always on the move, writing and performing music in multiple genres across the country. In five years, he has created three music projects and released five albums: three from his blues-rock band Runaway Sun, his solo Americana LP debut Film Noir, and critically-acclaimed family music album AndyRoo and the AndyRooniverse: Welcome to the AndyRooniverse. In 2011, the Houston Press recognized Andrew with a First Annual Houston Web Award for “Best Use of Twitter to Promote a Personal Brand.”
Andrew has opened for some of today’s top recording artists, such as the Heartless Bastards, Davy Knowles, and Diane Birch. PBS invited Andrew to open for MyNameIsJohnMichael and Trombone Shorty at their SXSW 2011 party. He has been a featured performer on Daytrotter and the Live at Best Buy Union Square music series. Radio Disney AM 1590 invited AndyRoo and the AndyRooniverse to perform at the world renowned 2011 Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show.
Whether live or recorded, playing Americana, Rock, or kid-friendly family music, Andrew entertains audiences of all ages.
